Department Overview
Grief is not just the loss of a person. It is the loss of a marriage. A career. A business. An identity. A version of yourself you thought you would be forever. And while grief is one of the most disorienting human experiences there is, it is also one of the most profound catalysts for transformation that exists.
The people who have walked through something devastating and come out the other side carry something that cannot be taught in a classroom. They carry perspective, empathy, resilience, and a depth of understanding about the human experience that becomes extraordinarily valuable when channeled into a business or mission built to help others through the same terrain.
This department exists for those people. It is for the entrepreneur who has survived something and knows their story belongs in the world. Not just for closure. Not just for healing. But because someone who is still in the middle of what you have already survived needs to know that there is a path through. And because that story, told with courage and intention, can become the foundation of a business that serves people at the deepest level.
A note on this department: The Grief to Freedom department addresses deeply personal subject matter including loss, trauma, and recovery. Content in this department is educational in nature and is not a substitute for licensed mental health care, grief counseling, or therapeutic support. If you are in crisis or need immediate support, please reach out to a licensed professional or crisis resource in your area.

CapstoneDepartment Head
Alisa Cooper founded The Quantum Business School in part because of her own journey through grief. She lost her husband four years ago. She lost her mother in November of last year. Her father recently survived a catastrophic stroke. She has not built her life around avoiding those experiences. She has built it around turning them into something that serves others.
The Grief to Freedom department reflects her deepest conviction: that the hardest chapters of our lives contain the seeds of our most meaningful work. Alisa guides this department alongside a department head whose full biography will be announced prior to the September 2026 launch, selected specifically for their lived experience navigating loss and building freedom on the other side of it.
"You did not survive what you survived so the story could stay inside you. You survived it so it could become something that reaches the people who need it most."
